Western Michigan is pretty much the team in the Cotton Bowl this year that no one has ever heard of, and the ticket prices for the game certainly reflect that lack of familiarity.
On Jan. 2, the 13-0 MAC champion Broncos will take on Wisconsin at AT&T Stadium in Texas. If you’re interested in going to the Cotton Bowl this year, tickets currently start at just $6 on Stubhub. As ESPN’s Darren Rovell notes, some ticket prices have already been slashed to just 15 percent of face value.
Western Michigan's trip to the Cotton Bowl is an awesome story. It's a disaster of a ticket. $135 face value tickets already at $20.

The state-of-the-art facility known as “Jerry Land” can hold upwards of 100,000 people. Roughly 82,000 attended the Cotton Bowl last year, and that was a College Football Playoff game between Alabama and Michigan State. Needless to say, attendance will probably be quite low this year.
Unfortunately, this is one of the problems we see with bowl games when a non-Power Five team runs the table. Does Western Michigan deserve to be in the Cotton Bowl? Sure. Are the ratings and revenue going to suffer because of it? Absolutely.
