Aaron Hernandez’s lawyer thought a murder trial was a good time and place to crack Deflategate jokes, and that did not sit well with the judge hearing the case.
Hernadez’s attorney, James Sultan, was questioning a state police trooper about tire pressure Thursday when he cracked the Deflategate joke.
“Did you ever receive training in football deflation devices?” Sultan jokingly asked.
Some chuckles could be heard in the courtroom after Sultan’s liner. The judge in the case did not like the joke and reminded Sultan that was poor form.
Hernandez said he preferred murder conspiracies to ball deflating conspiracies. Okay, he didn’t really say that, I just made that up.
