Bill Walton has funny Twitter exchange over missing bicycle
When Bill Walton takes a trip with his bicycle and it doesn’t arrive with the rest of his belongings, the Basketball Hall of Famer can get a little grumpy.
On Monday, Walton posted a photo of himself, a yellow bicycle, and his dog to Twitter asking Hawaiian Airlines to locate the bike, which did not arrive with his luggage. And, Walton made it quite clear he needed the bicycle.
Will the people at @HawaiianAir in Honolulu please give me my bike back,

The airline responded, requesting Walton to communicate with them in a private manner. Walton wasn’t having it, though. He responded for everyone to see.
@HawaiianAir I waited at the Maui airport yesterday for five hours and my bike never showed up. No one could tell me where it is.

@HawaiianAir Why, are you going to email my bike?

While the search was ongoing, Walton engaged with Twitter users, thanking many for spreading the word of his situation. He even appeared to be in disbelief that his bike made it all over China but Hawaiian Air couldn’t get it from Honolulu to Maui.
@myteem32 @loriMwalton Can't believe my bike made it all over China but Hawaiian Air couldn't get it from Honolulu to Maui

A few hours later, there was good news. The bike had been located and Walton was on his way to a volcano.

Let’s hope the rest of Walton’s day was much less stressful.
