One of the sketches by Chris Rock during the early part of the Oscars had multiple funny hidden rap references.
Both in his monologue and then in the ensuing sketches, Rock made race one of his focal issues. He attacked the notion that the Oscars were only for white people and addressed the controversy up front by mocking it.
One of his sketches was a “The Martian” mashup where they decided to leave him behind because he was a black astronaut and therefore deemed less important. When Rock was on camera similar to the way Matt Damon was in the movie, some of the digital information on the screen contained some rap references.

One said RIP ODB — a reference to former Wu Tang Clan rapper Ol Dirty Bastard who died in 2004.
One said KRS1 — a reference to the influential rapper
Another reference was CB4 — a reference to the 1993 rap movie “CB4” starring Rock.
You also saw CPT, which could very well be a reference to Compton. CPT is an acronym frequently used by rappers to represent Compton.
This is no doubt Rock’s influence. He’s a major old school rap/hip-hop fan. Even his recent movie “Top Five” had ongoing dialogue about peoples’ top five rappers all-time.
