Great Britain’s Mo Farah is one of the best distance runners in the world. He has two Olympic gold medals, three World Championship gold medals, and five European Championship gold medals among the honors he’s received. That didn’t stop countryman Andy Vernon from taking a shot at him over the competition Farah would be facing during an upcoming event.
What followed was the two exchanging jabs via their respective Twitter accounts, which included Farah concluding Taylor Swift might be able to run faster than Vernon.

From coming out of the gate with “didn’t make the lineup….again” to insinuating he would leave Vernon in the dust “as always” Farah certainly wasn’t backing down. Calling Vernon an embarrassment and proclaiming he might not win a foot race against Taylor Swift were the knockout blows.
