Paulina Gretzky developed a large following on Twitter after repeatedly posting pictures of herself wearing very little clothing. The Great One’s daughter took a temporary hiatus from the social media network before returning a few weeks later. It was thought at the time that her father, legendary hockey player Wayne Gretzky, ordered her off Twitter because of all the racy pictures she was posting. Paulina says that’s not the case.
“The rumor that my dad made me shut down my Twitter account is completely false,” Paulina told Complex. “I want people to see that I’m intelligent. I’m not a bimbo. I have an 8-year-old sister. The only thing I want to do is be a role model. I’m not trying to say, ‘You should follow me, all you girls,’ but I want my little sister to respect me and see how much I’ve accomplished. It’s hurtful when this older generation of people that doesn’t really understand me or take the time to get to know me trashes me.”
Paulina promoted an upcoming music debut during her interview with Complex, and it seemed her goal was to show everyone a different side of her. I’m having a difficult time seeing it. This is the same Paulina that continues to post racy photos on the net, only most of the time it’s on Instagram. She wants us to see a different side of her, yet she’s using a video and photo shoot with Complex of her scantily clad and teasing all the lads to gain our attention. I don’t really see how much has changed.
