Red Lobster crushed for weak tweet after Beyonce shoutout
Beyonce released a new song on Saturday, the day before she performs in the Super Bowl along with Coldplay. Like half of the rest of the free world, we’re big fans of Bey. It’s kinda hard not to be. So we’re obviously looking forward to her show on Sunday. But there was one aspect of her new song “Formation” that got peoples’ attention.
During the song, Beyonce shouts out Red Lobster (albeit in a vulgar way).
“When he f— me good, I take him to Red Lobster.”
Talk about putting new meaning to trying to get the biscuit.
Naturally, that sent people off on social media. Tons of celebs started tweeting about it. Meanwhile, folks were wondering whether Red Lobster would finally capitalize on the hype and comment on it.
Several hours later, they finally did.
"Cheddar Bey Biscuits" has a nice ring to it, don't you think? #Formation @Beyonce pic.twitter.com/QzgVtYAKNo

It was quite the dud of an effort from Red Lobster, not to mention way too late. Folks on Twitter let ’em have it.
Too late Red Lobster, ya'll had your chance https://t.co/63Kp4RwdJf

Come on, Red Lobster, do better next time.
By the way, Red Lobster just became the hottest Valentine’s Day spot.
