John Lynch: 49ers hope to get Jimmy Garoppolo deal done
If there was any doubt that the San Francisco 49ers view Jimmy Garoppolo as their long-term solution at quarterback, general manager John Lynch quashed them on Wednesday.
Lynch said that the 49ers are “working hard” to get Garoppolo signed long-term, and thinks it makes a lot of sense for both parties to make that happen.

Garoppolo didn’t get his chance to shine until late in the season, but once he did, he won all five of his starts for a 49ers team that looked destined for a truly awful season. He’s won high praise from Lynch before, and it’s easy to understand why they want to lock him down for the foreseeable future.
