San Francisco first-year wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling has found himself at the center of hilarious jokes from fans online following his decision to choose No. 7 for his jersey, as reported by Matt Barrows of The Athletic.
Apparently, it is the same jersey number that Love used to bolster his claim that he was a Niners player.
Here are some of the fans’ reactions to Stribling’s jersey number.

Stribling can give 49ers fans other, more sensible things to discuss come the regular season.
Selected in the second round (33rd overall) by the 49ers in the 2026 NFL Draft, the former Ole Miss Rebels star wideout is expected to have a significant role downfield for San Francisco’s passing attack. He already turned heads in the preseason, where he saw action in two games and racked up 109 receiving yards on 11 catches.
