Aaron Hernandez told fiancee ‘you’re rich’ in reported suicide note
Aaron Hernandez told his fiancee “you’re rich” in his reported suicide note.
Prosecutors released the note, which seems to indicate that Hernandez was well aware his fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez, would be the beneficiary of a significant financial payout with Hernandez dying an innocent man under Massachusetts state law.
In the note, Hernandez proclaims his love for his fiancee, tells her to “tell my story fully,” implores her to take care of his children, and notes at the very end that “you’re rich.”
“This was the supreme’s, the almighty’s plan, not mine!” Hernandez writes.
The note adds some credence to this theory, indicating Hernandez may have killed himself in order to ensure that his family was taken care of financially.
