Aaron Jones reacts after Packers deny him Lambeau Leap

Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones had planned to score a touchdown against his former team this week and celebrate accordingly. He was denied that — sort of — but still managed to get the last laugh.

Jones was returning to Lambeau Field in Green Bay on Sunday for the first time in his career as a visitor, having left the Packers for the Vikings during the offseason. Ultimately, he did not get to score during the game, but he still had the chance to taunt his former teammates once the game was over.

Jones said he heard from some Packers players about how they denied him the chance to celebrate a touchdown the way he wanted to. His response was to point to the fact that the Vikings had scored a 31-29 win, which was his priority.

Afterward, Jones said Packers players were telling him in the final seconds they didn't let him do a Lambeau Leap during the game. He responded, "You guys should be worried about the score. I got what I wanted. I did get my leap in; just didn't score. But I like the win better."

“You guys should be worried about the score. I got what I wanted,” Jones said he told Packers players. “I did get my leap in; just didn’t score. But I like the win better.”

Jones did find his way to the stands once the game was over in order to celebrate properly with some Minnesota fans.

Jones was rock solid for the Packers for seven seasons before signing with Minnesota during the offseason, where he is clearly having a lot of fun. Though he did not score on Sunday, he did contribute 93 rushing yards on 22 carries to go with 46 receiving yards.
