Aaron Murray announced on Twitter Friday evening that he and girlfriend Kacie McDonnell got engaged.
Murray sent a simple tweet and included an emoji of a diamond ring:

Murray was a fifth-round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs and has not seen any action this season. He and McDonnell have been dating since his time in college at Georgia. Things got serious between them when McDonnell, a reporter, transferred from FOX in Philly to the FOX affiliate in Kansas City to be close to Murray.
McDonnell previously was rumored to be dating Christian Ponder in 2010, back when she was a student at Villanova and he was at Florida State. She and Murray have been dating since at least late last year.
This is a big year of engagements for the Murray family. Aaron’s brother, Josh, was a contestant on the reality TV show “The Bachelorette” and won the competition. He is now engaged to Andi Dorfman.
