Aaron Rodgers is already mentoring 1 Jets rookie WR
Aaron Rodgers is taking a very active role in mentoring the New York Jets’ newest rookie wide receiver.
Malachi Corley, the Jets’ third-round pick out of Western Kentucky, said he has been texting Rodgers about everything from football to mental health, and that the quarterback has been willing to help. In fact, Rodgers invited Corley to stay at the quarterback’s guest house, an offer Corley intends to accept.
Malachi Corley said he’s been texting Aaron Rodgers quite a bit asking about football, life, mental health — said he’s Hall of Famer and wants to learn everything from him.
Rodgers has been receptive to it.

Rodgers has not always gotten along with young wide receivers, but apparently he and Corley are hitting it off. That probably bodes well for the rookie, though it certainly helps that the Jets have established options like Garrett Wilson to take some of the pressure off Corley. Rodgers certainly seemed to like the pick when it was made, too.
Corley’s best college season came in 2022, when he caught 101 passes for 1,295 yards and 11 touchdowns. If he can develop an early and consistent connection with Rodgers, the Jets might have a steal on their hands.
