ABC reportedly bidding for ‘Thursday Night Football’
Say what you want about the quality of the Thursday Night Football package, but it certainly continues to attract interest from potential bidders.
John Ourand of Sports Business Journal reported Monday that ABC has entered the race for the broadcast rights to the NFL’s Thursday night games, and would use ESPN staff and personalities to produce and air the games.

It’s safe to say that TNF isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. The quality of play is often poor and players generally hate it, but money talks. As long as the league can still get broadcasters to pay big money for the rights to it, everything else will be a secondary issue.
