Report: Adam Gase’s first interview will be for Cardinals head coaching job
The Miami Dolphins made a somewhat surprising decision to move on from Adam Gase on Monday, and very few people expect Gase to be without an NFL head coaching job for long.
Gase is expected to interview for several of the head coaching vacancies around the league, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that his first meeting will be with the Arizona Cardinals.
Former Dolphins’ HC Adam Gase is scheduled to take his first HC interview this post-season with the Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday, per source.

Arizona makes sense as a potential landing spot for Gase, as they likely want to bring in an offensive-minded coach after quickly moving on from Steve Wilks, whose background is as a defensive coordinator. The Cardinals are looking for a coach who can help develop Josh Rosen into a franchise quarterback, and Gase was a QB coach before he worked his way up the ranks.
We’ve already heard reports about another team being interested in Gase, so he could very well have his pick of offers when the interview process is over.
