Report: Browns’ ownership ‘intrigued’ by Adam Gase
Multiple reports indicated Monday that the Cleveland Browns have at least some interest in former Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, and the Miami Herald’s Adam Beasley, the Browns are interested in Gase. Much of this is apparently driven by owner Jimmy Haslam, who is close with Peyton Manning. Manning, reports say, has personally recommended Gase to ownership.
Browns owner Jimmy Haslam is interested in Gase, through recommendation of Peyton Manning, per sources. This one would be complicated and intriguing. Gase LOVES Baker. But Landry is also there. Dorsey’s presence creates an unknown.
But worth at least noting: Haslam is intrigued.

He who laughs last laughs loudest, or so I’ve heard. Peyton Manning, friend of Jimmy Haslam, is a big fan of Adam Gase. So watch this one. https://t.co/m1UZKFwCYP

As noted, the Browns have Jarvis Landry as a key offensive player, and it’s fair to say that Landry and Gase did not see eye-to-eye when in Miami together. That said, Gase has a reputation as a quarterback guy, and with Baker Mayfield under center, that’s going to take precedence in Cleveland’s thinking.
