Adam Gase says Laremy Tunsil still has ‘a lot to learn’

Laremy Tunsil Dolphins

Maturity questions helped lead to offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil sliding to the Miami Dolphins at No. 13 overall last April, and (perhaps not too surprisingly) head coach Adam Gase thinks Tunsil still has some work to do in that regard.

When asked on Sunday about the rookie’s readiness heading into the 2016 season, Gase preached patience.

“He’s got a lot to learn,” Gase said of Tunsil per Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald. “That inside is a different angle. He’s learning. The good thing about him is he works hard.”

Tunsil definitely has some serious reputation rebuilding to do after that infamous gas mask bong video dropped on Draft Day, getting his NFL career off to a highly inauspicious start.

To his credit, the Ole Miss product has reportedly been showing some fight and holding his own in training camp this summer. While Tunsil appears to be behind Dallas Thomas on the depth chart and probably won’t be ready to contribute right away, with the work ethic he has been showcasing, he could easily outperform his draft cost in the long run.
