Adrian Peterson planning to play through shoulder injury

Adrian Peterson

Adrian Peterson is known for his toughness, which may be on display in Week 6.

Peterson was limited to four carries in Washington’s loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday night. He said that he suffered a dislocated shoulder during the game, but he doesn’t plan on that injury keeping him from playing in the Redskins’ upcoming game against Carolina.

NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero says Peterson will get a second opinion on his shoulder, which was termed as a strain.

Peterson has 60 carries for 242 yards this season. He had big statistical games against Arizona and Green Bay, but wasn’t much of a factor against Indianapolis and New Orleans.

Even at 33, Peterson has proven to still be useful. Chris Thompson (if healthy) and Kapri Bibbs may see extra work if Peterson is unavailable
