Adrian Peterson Says Some Fantasy Football Owners Have Offered Their Wives in Exchange for Him Playing
If you are a fantasy football owner who is lucky enough to still be alive despite Adrian Peterson’s critical injury during the most important stretch of the season, there could still be hope. Peterson is going to play this Sunday against the Saints on an ankle that he says is about “85 percent” healthy. We all know Peterson is a gamer, so if he can be out there on the field he will be. In fact, he expressed a desire to help his fantasy owners after missing the past three games. Just stop offering your wife’s services in exchange for A.P. playing — that’s not going to help the situation and it will just make you lose points at home.
“It’s very important (that I play), especially for my fantasy team owners,” Peterson said while smiling according to the Star Tribune. “They’ve been giving me a hard time. They’ll say, `Will you please (play). I’ll send my wife down to visit you. Sometimes, it’s like, wow. Some of the things I read on there are crazy.”
The Vikings are 2-11 and officially one of the worst teams in the NFL, so Peterson has to get his motivation from somewhere. Unfortunately for some of his fantasy owners it is far too late. Considering he was a consensus first-round pick, Peterson’s injury has already destroyed the championship hopes of many owners.
For those who are still in the hunt: let’s take it down a notch. I know there are few things in life more important than the bragging rights and money that could come along with taking home the fantasy football crown, but I’m sure Peterson does just fine with the ladies. Unless you’re married to Kate Upton your generous offer probably doesn’t mean much.
