Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green appears to be making some progress in his return from torn ankle ligaments.
Green said Wednesday he is out of his walking boot and was able to run on Tuesday without discomfort. That said, there is still no timetable for his return to action.

The original timetable for Green’s injury had him out six to eight weeks. That meant the beginning of October, which may still be a realistic goal.
The 31-year-old played in nine games last season, but still caught six touchdowns. The Bengals will be hoping for similar productivity when he gets back on the field this year.
