Eagles’ Alshon Jeffery blasts ‘terrible’ Soldier Field playing surface
The Philadelphia Eagles may have one extra adversary when they travel to Chicago to face the Bears on Sunday: the playing field.
Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, who spent the first five seasons of his career with the Bears, referred to the field as “terrible” on Wednesday, adding that he’d frequently lobbied to get it improved while playing there.
More Alshon Jeffery, on what it’s like playing at Soldier Field: “The field is terrible.
"When I was there, we always used to tell the equipment manager that you gotta change the field, get the field better. I’m just saying: It’s terrible.”#Eagles

Jeffery isn’t afraid to make bold pronunciations, and ripping on the field is certainly that. In other words, it’s safe to say the wide receiver is not looking forward to this aspect of Sunday’s playoff game.
