The New Orleans Saints have played their last two games without dynamic running back Alvin Kamara, but it looks like they will be getting him back for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Saints head coach Sean Payton told reporters on Thursday that Kamara has recovered well from his ankle injury, and he “fully expects” him to be ready to go on Sunday.
Sean Payton on Saints RB Alvin Kamara: "I fully expect him to be ready to play, and I thought he looked really good yesterday (in practice)."

The Saints did not skip a beat while both Kamara and Drew Brees were sidelined. They won both of their games without Kamara several others without both him and Brees, which is a testament to their depth and the overall talent of their roster.
New Orleans will be even more dangerous with Kamara back in the fold. The third-year back was off to somewhat of a slow start by his standards this season, but he racked up more than 1,500 total yards from scrimmage last year and scored 18 touchdowns. The fact that the Saints were able to win with both him and Brees sidelined should terrify the rest of the NFC.
