Andrew Luck resumes throwing footballs at Colts practice
Indianapolis Colts fans have been waiting the better part of a year for a tangible positive update regarding Andrew Luck, and they finally got one on Tuesday.
For the first time since before he was ruled out for the remainder of the season last year, Luck was spotted throwing passes at practice — with an actual football.
The day has come.

While that does not mean Luck has declared himself 100 percent healthy, it is one of the best signs we have seen in a long time. Apparently the footballs Luck was throwing were collegiate footballs for some reason and not “The Duke,” which is what he recently referred to an NFL-sized football as.
Correction: Looks like Andrew Luck is throwing a college football. It’s not The Duke.

Andrew Luck threw about 10 passes (mostly to Reggie Wayne), none more than 10 yards.
Looked fine. Nothing out of the ordinary. He’ll ramp up his regimen over the next six weeks.
A very, very encouraging sign. First time we’ve seen him throw since October 12.

Some recent comments new Colts head coach Frank Reich made gave fans reasons for optimism, and it sounds like he had a good reason to make them. Luck still has a ways to go after unexpectedly missing the entire 2017 season, but his surgically-repaired shoulder must finally be feeling close to 100 percent.
