Colts ‘not worried’ about Andrew Luck’s status
Andrew Luck is still not throwing regulation footballs as he recovers from a shoulder surgery last year, but the Indianapolis Colts say they are not worried.
New Colts head coach Frank Reich expressed confidence in Luck when speaking with reporters from OTAs on Wednesday.
“No, I’m not worried at all,” Reich said of Luck’s recovery.
Luck says that he skipped some steps in his rehab last year from a Jan. 2017 surgery and paid the price. This time around, he is not going to skip the steps and is instead trusting the recovery process.
“I’m not going to do that again,” Luck said, via FOX 59. “I trust very much the people that I’m working with. More importantly, I trust myself in this process and I trust how I feel.”
The goal is for Luck to be ready to throw without restrictions when training camp begins in two months. The quarterback missed all of last season.
