Andy Reid has no expectations for Patrick Mahomes
Andy Reid has not put any pressure on Patrick Mahomes ahead of his first NFL start this Sunday against the Broncos.
The Chiefs have secured the AFC West division title and are locked in to the fourth seed, so the outcome of the game is meaningless as far as playoff implications are concerned. With that in mind, Reid decided to give the rookie his first start.
Leading up to the game, Reid did not want to set the bar too high for what we might expect to see. When speaking to reporters, Reid said he has no expectations for Mahomes and just wants him to get some reps leading the offense.
