Antonio Brown fires back at ex-employee who says he is ‘lucky’ to play for Steelers

Antonio Brown

Antonio Brown has been arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL for the past six years, and Ben Roethlisberger deserves a lot of credit for the success the star wide receiver has had. But if you want to know exactly how much credit, Brown knows a way we can figure that out.

On Monday, a former Steelers PR employee implied on Twitter that Brown would not be nearly as rich and successful if he didn’t play for the Steelers. Brown fired back by saying the team should trade him to find out.

The response was surprising, as it almost seems like Brown is challenging the Steelers over something a fan said. Pittsburgh has no intention of dealing Brown and obviously considers him incredibly valuable, which is why they pay him $17 million per year.

Conspiracy theorists might argue that Brown’s tweet on Monday combined with the way he has supported Le’Veon Bell indicates he is irritated with the Steelers, but there’s no real reason to think that. He’s likely just venting after the tough start the team has gotten off to in 2018.
