Antonio Brown promises ‘new standard’ in Oakland
Antonio Brown has been criticized for selfishness and being a bad teammate, but he seems like he wants to change that narrative.
Brown was introduced as a member of the Oakland Raiders on Wednesday, and the wide receiver tried to take on the role of leader in the press conference. He promised a “new standard” in Oakland in which he will step up and hold teammates accountable.
Brown again and again says he will hold teammates accountable. “There will be a new standard. … There will be fines. I can’t do it all in one day but we’re going to change things here.” #Raiders

Brown seems to be relishing the chance to lead. In his mind, he wasn’t one in Pittsburgh, perhaps thanks in part to Ben Roethlisberger’s “owner mentality.” Promising new accountability is one thing, but delivering it may prove tougher. It will be a fascinating experiment in Oakland.
