Aqib Talib could soon be ditching the AFC West for the NFC West.
Les Shapiro of Mile High Sports Radio reported on Thursday that the Denver Broncos cornerback is also interested in going to the Los Angeles Rams, which would reunite him with former Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips.
The 32-year-old Talib still has two years and $19 million left on his contract. But it was reported earlier this week that he wants to be released (not traded) by Denver and also has this familiar team on his list of preferred destinations.
It is unclear where Talib would hypothetically fit in on the Rams, who just traded for another Pro Bowl cornerback in Marcus Peters. But playing in a defensive scheme that he is already familiar with would definitely make sense for him at this point of his career.
