Aqib Talib only needed stitches after being shot in leg
Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib was fortunate to avoid a serious injury when he was shot in the leg at a Dallas nightclub early Sunday morning. The wound was so minor, in fact, that he only needed stitches.
Talib was released from the hospital shortly after being admitted. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, he didn’t tear any ligaments and the bullet did not hit an artery.

Obviously, it could have been much, much worse for Talib. Mike Klis of 9News in Denver reports that the 30-year-old was accidentally shot, though it’s unclear what exactly that means.
From the sound of it, the worst thing that came of Talib being shot is that he has to miss this trip with his teammates. He could also end up facing disciplinary action from the NFL, but that remains to be seen.
