Baker Mayfield trolls Tommy DeVito with TD dance
Tommy DeVito had a rough first half on Sunday in his first start of the season with the New York Giants, and Baker Mayfield showed the young quarterback no sympathy.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers dominated the Giants in the first two quarters at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. After Mayfield rushed for a 10-yard touchdown to give the Bucs a 23-0 lead with 12 seconds remaining in the first half, he immediately broke out the Italian-themed celebration that DeVito made popular last year.

DeVito, whose Italian-American heritage is a huge part of his identity, took the NFL by storm for several weeks last season. He has embraced nicknames like “Tommy Cutlets” and even trademarked that and another phrase.
The Giants benched Daniel Jones earlier this week, which paved the way for DeVito to rediscover some of the magic he had last season. The 26-year-old went just 3/5 for 31 yards in the first half against Tampa Bay.
Mayfield obviously could not wait to do the DeVito dance. He also is not the first opponent to mock DeVito and the Giants with the gesture.
