Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield on Monday revealed some exciting news off the field.
Mayfield and his wife Emily are expecting a child together — a baby girl in April 2024. They announced the news via a shared post on Instagram.
“We’ve been hiding a little something. …
“But we are THRILLED to share that baby girl Mayfield will be joining our crazy crew in early April 2024!” the couple’s caption read.
The daughter would be Mayfield’s first child. The couple also included photos of their future daughter’s “big brother” on four legs — a dog named Fergus.
The former number one overall pick signed a 1-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March. With Mayfield under center, the Bucs have gone 5-7 through Week 13.
The 28-year-old QB has thrown for 2,790 yards with 18 touchdowns and 8 interceptions across 12 games played this season.
If the love Buccaneers players have for Mayfield is any indication, the father-to-be appears poised to be a terrific dad.
