Martellus Bennett has emerged as one of the better pass-catching tight ends in the NFL since the Chicago Bears signed him in 2013, but personal issues with the team could have him playing elsewhere next season.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Bears are working with Bennett’s agent to try to find a trade partner for the 28-year-old.
Bears and Martellus Bennett's agent, Kennard McGuire, are working together to trade the tight end to an agreeable landing spot, per source.

After catching a career-high 90 passes in 2014, Bennett was limited to just 53 catches in 11 games this past season. One of the games he missed was met with speculation that his absence had more to do with a rift with the team than it did an injury.
The fact that the Bears are working with Bennett’s agent to try to find a destination that suits all parties indicates that the relationship could be worse. But if a trade can’t be worked out, it would not be a surprise if Bennett is released.
