Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger called out his team’s unacceptable performance after a late loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
Beaten 35-30 on a late touchdown, Roethlisberger aired his concerns publicly, calling the team out and trying to get to the bottom of it.
“We are undisciplined and not accountable,” Roethlisberger said, via Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. “That’s why (the Cowboys) are one of the best in the business and we’re not right now.”
When asked how his team had reached that level, the veteran quarterback admitted he did not have a good answer, though he didn’t stop at just the players.
“I don’t know. Is it players? Is it coaches? I don’t know, but we need to get there quick,” Roethlisberger said.
It was said that Roethlisberger was privately concerned over his teammates’ attitude. Those concerns just went public, with the Steelers now sitting at 4-5.
