Bill Belichick saw a massive uptick in the number of people who are interested in his personal life after he began dating someone who is young enough to be his granddaughter, but that does not mean the North Carolina coach wants to talk about the relationship.
Belichick recently sat down for an interview with Tony Dokoupil of “CBS Mornings” that aired on Sunday morning. He was enthusiastic while discussing the usual topics, such as his tenure with the New England Patriots and long coaching history. Things got a bit tense when Dokoupil asked about Belichick dating 24-year-old Jordon Hudson, however.
Hudson was seated right near Belichick during the interview, and CBS’s narrator described her as a “constant presence” during the segment. When Dokoupil asked how the 73-year-old Belichick and Hudson met, Hudson sternly interrupted and said “we’re not talking about this.”

Belichick then dodged a couple of questions about the playful photos and videos he and Hudson have shared on social media, specifically when he was asked what the reaction has been like to them.
“What’s it been like? Yeah, so, I’m on some of those social media platforms, but I honestly don’t follow them,” Belichick said.
You can see the exchange at around the 5:52 mark:

Another awkward moment in the interview came when Belichick was asked about the end of his tenure with the Patriots. Belichick called it a “mutual decision” to part ways, but Dokoupil noted how Patriots owner Robert Kraft once said he fired Belichick. Belichick did not look amused and repeated that the split was mutual.
Things between Belichick and Hudson are clearly serious. She was pulling strings during the CBS interview, and there have even been signs that she has an active role with the UNC football team. As far as Belichick is concerned, none of that means he needs to talk about his love life in a public setting.
