Bill O’Brien was shown on TV getting upset during the team’s third-round pick of the NFL Draft on Friday, and now we know why.
The Houston Texans were on the clock for the No. 90 overall pick in the draft and took linebacker Jonathan Greenard. Before that happened, O’Brien, who is both the team’s head coach and general manager, was shown angrily pointing at his phone.

So what happened? The Houston Chronicle’s John McClain says the Texans had a trade in place with the Lions for the pick, but Detroit backed out at the last second, leaving O’Brien furious.
Texans had a deal with Detroit for the 90th pick but Lions backed out at last instant and Bill O’Brien was furious. You could tell by his reaction on TV. They selected OLB Jonathan Greenard with their pick.

Well, that would certainly explain his reaction.
The Texans lacked a first-round pick and only have made two selections over the first two days of this year’s draft. In addition to Greenard, they also got Ross Blacklock.
