Bills announce Nathan Peterman has been named starting QB
The Buffalo Bills traded up in the first round to draft a player they believe can be their franchise quarterback, but Josh Allen may have to wait a while before making his regular season debut.
On Monday, the Bills named Nathan Peterman their starting quarterback.

Buffalo held an open competition throughout training camp and the preseason, and one of the three quarterbacks who was vying for the starting job is no longer in the picture after AJ McCarron was traded to the Oakland Raiders. The Bills have a tough schedule early in the season and have obviously decided that Allen is not ready for it.
Peterman, a fifth-round pick last year, has supposedly looked impressive throughout the offseason. He’ll be looking to make fans forget about the historically bad game he had when he took over for Tyrod Taylor late last season.
