Blake Bortles reportedly had wrist surgery
Blake Bortles underwent surgery on his wrist not long after his Jacksonville Jaguars were eliminated from the playoffs, according to a report.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter shared the news on Monday night about Bortles, saying that the QB had been dealing with the issue since Dec. 2016.
Jaguars’ QB Blake Bortles underwent right wrist surgery Friday for a condition that kept him on the injury report all season, sources told ESPN.
Bortles dealt with the issue since December 2016. The Jaguars elected to avoid surgery last offseason, but knew it was needed now.

By getting the surgery done so quickly after the Jaguars’ season ended, Bortles will give himself as much time as possible to heal for next season.
Bortles completed a career-best 60.2 percent of his passes this season. He had a particularly strong postseason as he passed for three touchdowns and no interceptions while leading the Jaguars to the AFC championship game.
