Brock Osweiler will skip Broncos’ Super Bowl ring ceremony
Brock Osweiler is skipping out on another team function for the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos, and this time he can’t use OTAs as an excuse.
Osweiler will not be attending the Broncos’ private Super Bowl 50 ring unveiling ceremony at Sports Authority Field on Sunday, a Texans spokesperson confirmed to Cameron Wolfe of the Denver Post.
The Texans quarterback does not have any team-related engagements that would have kept him away from the event, with Houston’s OTAs having wrapped up already and mandatory minicamps not kicking off until Tuesday.
Osweiler skipped the Broncos’ trip to the White House on account of OTAs, but here he just seems to not want to go. His departure from the organization, while not outright poisonous, wasn’t exactly amicable, either. Still, it’s interesting to see how little interest Osweiler has in fraternizing with his former teammates. Perhaps it’s a case of preferring to look forwards and not back.
