
There is reportedly a fundamental divide between ownership and coaching in the Cleveland Browns organization over where to go with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft.
According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the Browns coaching staff favors defensive end Myles Garrett first overall, the consensus best player in the draft. Ownership, however, wants a quarterback, specifically North Carolina’s Mitchell Trubisky.

Garoppolo would appease the owner and buy some time and allow them to still take Garrett. Belichick knows all of this of course. Hold tight

The problem is that the Browns don’t seem optimistic of getting a Garoppolo deal done. Garrett is probably their best choice in terms of talent, though ownership’s desire for a franchise quarterback is understandable.
