Concussion symptoms can show up belatedly, and that’s what happened here. There was no indication that Randall was experiencing any issues during the week until they manifested themselves Saturday.
Randall started 15 games for the Browns in 2018, racking up 85 tackles and four interceptions. He’ll be a big miss for the Browns. If there’s any good news for their secondary, however, it’s that they’ll be facing the Jets’ backup quarterback.
