Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward has cashed in once again with a massive new contract.
On Tuesday, the Browns and Ward agreed to a two-year, $62.2 million deal with $52.3 million guaranteed. This now makes him the highest-paid CB in NFL history, and he claimed that honor when he signed his last contract in 2022.

The Browns gave Ward a five-year, $100.5 million extension with $70 million guaranteed in 2022, which then made him the highest-paid DB in NFL history.
Now, Ward is making $31.1 million per season, putting him at No. 1, just over Los Angeles Rams star Trent McDuffie ($31 million). Sauce Gardner ($30.1 million) and Derek Stingley Jr. ($30 million) are the next highest-paid DBs in the league.
Once the Browns traded Myles Garrett, questions swirled regarding Ward’s future with the team, although they insisted that trading Ward was not something they had planned.
Ward is a five-time Pro Bowler who enters the 2026 season with three straight trips, and he now has a shiny new contract going into Week 1.
