The 2015 college football season is only one week old, but that’s enough for fans of one NFL team to find a new object of affection.
After trailing at halftime, Ohio State dominated the second half on the way to a 42-24 victory over Virginia Tech on Monday. Braxton Miller caused everyone’s jaws to drop with a dazzling spin move on the way to a 53-yard touchdown run. However, it was Cardale Jones some Browns fans were fixated on.
After helping the Buckeyes to the national championship earlier this year, Jones completed 9-of-18 pass attempts for 186 yards with two touchdowns and one interception against the Hokies. He also rushed 13 times for 99 yards and another score. With the Browns not having the most stable of quarterback situations, the hashtag #FailForCardale became a thing on social media.

Josh McCown is slated to start week 1 for the Browns with Johnny Manziel behind him. On Monday, Cleveland signed Austin Davis, who was released by the Rams.
The Browns have been searching for a franchise quarterback seemingly forever. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear one is on their current roster. From that standpoint, it’s tough to be mad at Browns fans hoping Cardale Jones makes the trip from Columbus to Cleveland by way of the NFL Draft.
