Browns owner Jimmy Haslam got absolutely roasted by his father

Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam has not exactly won a lot of rave reviews for his stewardship of the franchise, including from his own father.

In addition to his ownership of the Browns, Haslam owns a 25 percent stake in the Milwaukee Bucks. Both of those teams made blockbuster trades this offseason, with the Browns trading Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams and the Bucks sending Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat.

Indeed, Haslam played at least some part in trading away two superstars this summer, and that was not lost on him or his father.

“My dad’s 95-and-a-half, but he still follows every sports move we make,” Haslam said. “He called me up after we traded Giannis and goes, ‘Do you know in the last month you’ve traded Myles Garrett and Giannis?’”

There have been some suggestions that Haslam might look to take over as the primary owner of the Bucks. He was certainly heavily involved in the Antetokounmpo deal, although things between Giannis and the Bucks had taken a turn for the worse already.

Haslam has not exactly had a great record with his trades so far. Fans of both teams will have to hope these go better than those did.
