Browns GM addresses Kevin Stefanski’s job status
The Cleveland Browns are 2-7, which has led some to question whether coach Kevin Stefanski will survive such a poor season. Based on comments made by general manager Andrew Berry, that outcome appears unlikely.
Berry offered Stefanski a significant vote of confidence on Wednesday, arguing that Stefanski’s past record demonstrates that he is a good coach and is not going anywhere.
“Kevin’s an outstanding coach, and he’s absolutely part of the solution,” Berry said.

Stefanski’s biggest problem this season has also been the Browns’ biggest issue: they tied themselves to Deshaun Watson, and the quarterback did not produce. Stefanski stuck with his quarterback even after a terrible start to the season, but he certainly was not the only one in the organization who adamantly backed Watson.
Even factoring in the poor 2024 season, Stefanski is 39-37 as Cleveland’s head coach with a pair of playoff appearances. The Browns appear to trust him to help dig themselves out of their current hole.
