The Cleveland Browns are in need of a franchise quarterback and are expected to select a QB high in the upcoming NFL Draft. According to one analyst, their pick could be Wyoming’s Josh Allen.
On NFL Network Monday evening, former NFL scout Daniel Jeremiah reported that sources say the Browns are expected to take Allen with the top pick.
Just now on NFL Network, @MoveTheSticks said that "people that know people inside the Browns" fully expect Josh Allen to be the pick at No.1.

Leading up to the draft, it’s always good to exercise caution with regard to reports of potential selections by teams, especially coming from non-traditional reporters. However, this does mesh somewhat with a report earlier in the day that Cleveland is deciding between Allen and Sam Darnold.
Some were not impressed with Allen’s 56 percent completion percentage last season. On the other hand, he is seen as having all of the physical tools and gifts you want from a franchise quarterback. That could be enough to entice the Browns to pull the trigger and hope Allen solves their quarterback problem that has lasted several years. You can see where we have Allen ranked in our list of the 10 best quarterback prospects in this year’s draft class.
