Browns, Vikings have discussed Odell Beckham Jr trade?
The trade rumors surrounding Odell Beckham Jr. have seemed to quiet down a bit this offseason, with the assumption being that the Cleveland Browns have no intention of trading the star wide receiver after bringing in a new offensive-minded head coach in Kevin Stefanski. However, one report claims the Browns have at least explored the idea of trading Beckham to their new coach’s former team.
WFAN’s Marc Malusis said on his show Wednesday morning that a source told him the Browns and Minnesota Vikings have discussed details of a potential trade involving Beckham. The deal would supposedly see a second-round draft pick and fifth-round pick go to Cleveland in exchange for OBJ.
So, as I reported this morning on @MandMWFAN, Source has told me that the Browns and Vikings are in discussions on a trade that would send @obj to the Vikings for a 2nd and 5th round pick next year. Trade is not done, but the deal is being discussed.

For what it’s worth, the report is already being refuted. Complex Sports interviewed ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Tuesday, and Schefter said the Browns are not trading Beckham this offseason.
We haven't dropped the interview yet, but i'll say that Schefter told us yesterday that the Browns aren't trading Odell. https://t.co/nUa1Dkc5pn

The Browns gave us a strong hint last month that they are not planning to part ways with Beckham, but that hasn’t stopped the speculation. There’s probably nothing anyone can say to convince fans that Beckham’s roster spot in Cleveland is safe, but the odds are heavily stacked against a trade at this point.
