Report: Buccaneers fear Kwon Alexander tore his ACL
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, already facing a rough season, may be facing even worse news after Sunday’s game.
According to Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL.com, the Buccaneers fear standout linebacker Kwon Alexander suffered a torn ACL during Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns, and he is awaiting further evaluation.
Potential bad news for the #Bucs: The concern is that star LB Kwon Alexander suffered a torn ACL, sources tell me and @MikeGarafolo. He had been in contract talks on a long-term deal. The hope is for good news on the all-important MRI.

He felt a pop, from what I was told. Not good. Contract year for him. Turned down the team’s offers for an extension. Could be a rough turn for him. https://t.co/kyT50TjT7S

Tampa Bay’s defense has already been so bad that they fired their defensive coordinator earlier in the week. A long-term loss of Alexander would be brutal for him and the team. He was fresh off a week in which he accumulated 12 total tackles, and had 145 of them two seasons ago.
