Byron Maxwell responds to Brandon Marshall’s holding remarks
Byron Maxwell and Brandon Marshall are engaged in one of the lamest beefs imaginable.
Ahead of Sunday’s Jets-Dolphins game, Marshall commented on Maxwell and said he had heard the Dolphins acquired the cornerback specifically as a “Marshall stopper.”
Brandon Marshall said someone in Miami told him that the Dolphins traded for Maxwell to be a Marshall stopper.

Marshall accused Maxwell of holding him every play as well.
On Thursday, Maxwell was asked for a response but did not offer much.
“I don’t think nothing about it,” Maxwell said Thursday via the Palm Beach Post. “Just play the game Sunday. That’s what it is… But I’m cool. I really am.”
Maxwell also denied holding on every play the way Marshall said he did.
“No. Of course not. I never hold.”
Sunday’s Jets-Dolphins game now has an interesting side-story.
Marshall enters the game with 34 catches for 540 yards and two touchdowns. Maxwell has 27 tackles on the season.
