Cam Newton jabs Shannon Sharpe over infamous video
On Friday, former NFL quarterback Cam Newton made his debut appearance on ESPN’s First Take and came out guns blazing. The victim of his first shot? Co-host Shannon Sharpe.
After a short conversation about the upcoming slate of NFL and NCAA games, the panel was asked to pick the top 5 homecoming essentials for a university’s homecoming game. Stephen A. Smith rattled off the usual list of things such as a marching band, while Newton suggested it’s all about the party.
“It’s the party, Stephen A. We ain’t worried about class, we ain’t worried about food,” Newton said.
That’s when Sharpe chimed in and said he’s worried about something else. Newton did not hesitate when the opportunity presented itself, trolling Sharpe into oblivion over his recent sex tape snafu.

“No, I worry about something else, but we can’t say that,” Sharpe said.
“Watch out, Michelle,” Newton responded sending the set into chaos.
“Michelle” is, of course, the name Sharpe uttered in the infamous Instagram sex tape.
“We gotta go to break! We gotta go to commercial!” Smith yelled. “We gotta go to commercial!”
Sharpe quickly ran off screen laughing, followed swiftly by Smith and then Newton.
That a way to make a mark on Day 1 of the new job.
