Cam Newton is taking a major L this week from BET.
The retired former NFL MVP Newton has officially gotten his show “106 & Sports” cancelled by BET after just eight episodes, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported on Monday. The hour-long talk show is now finished after an abbreviated one-season run.
In response to the news, Newton received the meme treatment over social media. Take a look at some of the most ruthless posts reacting to the cancellation of Newton’s show.

“106 & Sports” was a sports-themed spin-off of BET’s iconic “106 & Park” music video show. Newton served as the host of the show alongside sports analyst Ashley Nicole Moss.
But it appears that poor content and poor marketing ended up dooming “106 & Sports.” Many users noted that they had not seen even so much as a single clip online of Newton’s show.
I haven't seen an episode. A clip. Nothing. https://t.co/q0II5zaDRv

Still just 36 years old, Newton, who last played in the NFL in 2021, is now a full-time media personality. Though his BET talk show is now history, Newton is still making headlines with his controversial takes on ESPN.
